Brief

Scalp vein set is specifically designed for venipuncture of devices: it is used to access superficial veins or for any intravenous injection or bloodletting.

It consists of a hypodermic needle from the front to the back, a flexible or “swing” on both sides or a single side, a flexible small hole transparent tube (usually 20-35 cm long), and finally a connector (usually a female Luer).

This connector is attached to another device: for example a syringe, a vacuum tube holder/hub, or an extension tube from an infusion pump or gravity feed injection/infusion bag/bottle.

CHARACTERITICS

Disposable scalp vein set for venipuncture and intravenous infusion. It can be attached to a syringe to infuse saline without repeatedly piercing the skin and wounds. In addition, it can be used to drain fluid from the expander after removal from the body.

  • The scalp vein kit is ideal for blood sampling and small infusions. Often used to treat contractures and pediatric patients.
  • Two wings help to position the skin easily and safely.
  • Flexible elastic extension tube helps safe injection away from venipuncture sites, reducing the risk of shifting.
  • High-grade stainless steel needles with three bevelled edges ensure atraumatic and painless vascular puncture.
  • Various needle sizes and lengths (from 18G to 27G) can be selected correctly based on vein diameter and aqueous solution viscosity.
  • Colour code (according to ISO standards) helps to correctly select the scalp vein sleeve.
  • The tip wheel (Luer Slip, Luer Lock) offers a variety of options.
  • Sterilized by EO gas. Non-toxic. Non-pyrogenic, single use only.
  • High-quality cannula with the material stainless steel 304.
  • Good medical grade silicon oil.
  • International Color coded hub by size for clear recognition.
