Brief
Rectal tubes are used for administering high colonic enemas or dissipating intestinal gas.
They are manufactured from thermosensitive, medically tested and implantation tested PVC.
The smooth surface and soft rounded tip facilitate easy insertion with the greatest possible protection of the mucous membranes.
CHARACTERITICS
The rectal tube is inserted via the rectum to drain waste, perform lavage and/or administer medicine to lower intestine.
- Relieve discomfort caused by decreased bloating and flatulence caused by decreased exercise capacity.
- Sterilized by EO gas. Non-toxic. Non-pyrogenic, single use only.
- Disposable Rectal Tube has no balloon.
- It’s a short piece of plastic tubing similar to the tubing used to administer a large volume enema.
- It’s generally used to relieve flatulence unresponsive to activity or medications.
- Smooth surface and tip allow atraumatic insertion for enhanced patient conform(Tube need to be lubricated before insertion).
- Round and smooth open tip, highly reducing trauma. Heat-polished Eye-Type.
- The colour-coded connector facilitates the immediate, reliable selection of the required size.
- Can be used with all standard catheter lubricants.
- Rectal tube 20 cm, 40 cm long, 2 eyes.
- Closed, rounded tip.
- Material: Medical grade PVC, with DEHP or DEHP FREE.
- Connector: Funnel-shaped connector. Colour-coded to identify different sizes.
- Size: F6, F8, F10, F12, F14, F16, F18, F20, F22, F24.
- Package: Blister/PE.
