Brief

Nelaton catheter is widely used in departments of urology, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and gynaecology for drainage of urine and medication.

The Nelaton catheter is used to pass through the urethra during urine catheterization and into the bladder to drain urine.

CHARACTERITICS

A unique feature of the catheter is a connector that includes a cap that fits the connector funnel. The accessory provides the user with a means to interrupt the flow of urine at any time during catheterization.

  • If the user wishes to remove it, the cover can be easily removed with a slight drag.
  • The catheter is designed with an olive tip and opposing eyes that are electronically treated to remove residual burrs on their edges that may otherwise cause trauma to the urethral mucosa during catheterization.
  • Fast size identification The colour-coded funnel insert of the single-use catheter provides for fast and certain identification of the sizes.
  • Soft round tip for atraumatic insertion.
  • The number of side eyes: Two side eyes.
  • The maximum displacement of both eyes.
  • Frosted surface for easy insertion appropriate degree of hardness provides kink resistance.
