The Urinary Swab is used for gynecological, sexually transmitted diseases and Gynecological-related diseases.
Brief
A vaginal fluid sample is collected using a urine swab, the swab is brought into contact with the lower third of the vaginal wall, and the swab is rotated for 10 to 30 seconds to absorb the liquid.
Immediately place the swab into the delivery tube, carefully place the swab shaft against the side of the tube and tighten the lid.
CHARACTERITICS
The Urinary Swab is inserted into the urethra in order to collect a tissue or fluid sample. Collected specimens are then sent for testing at appropriate laboratories.
- Remove excess mucus from the cervix and surrounding mucosa using a clean cotton swab (white shaft swab with red print in the package).
- Discard this cotton swab. Insert the specimen collection swab (blue shaft swab with green print) into the cervical canal.
- Gently rotate the cotton swab clockwise in the cervical canal for 10 to 30 seconds to ensure adequate sampling.
- Carefully remove the cotton swab; avoid contact with the vaginal mucosa.
- Remove the lid from the swab sample transfer tube and immediately place the sample collection swab into the transfer tube.
- Carefully break the cotton swab shaft at the line; use it carefully to avoid splashing.
- Re-extract the swab specimen delivery tube.
